This program exists to develop future audiences for the performing arts by providing students with nominally priced tickets to Rockford area performing arts events AND to assist Rockford area performing arts organizations by finding students to occupy unsold seats for upcoming performances.
The Rockford Area Arts Council will sell $1 tickets to performing arts events to students and their chaperones for performances at which the sponsoring organization has unsold seats. The number of tickets to be sold for each performance will be determined by the sponsoring organization. The program is open to students of all ages, and in the case of minors, their chaperones.
What to Know
How it Works
The Arts Council will print a special “Project Full House” pass with the name, address, phone number, school and grade for each ticket buyer to fill out. The pass will also include the name of the performance, sponsoring organization, date and location.
The Arts Council will publicize each week the names of performances for which “Project Full House” tickets are for sale. Tickets will be available on a first come-first served basis. Passes may be picked up at the Arts Council office at the Shumway Market building at 713 East State Street during regular office hours on the two business days prior to the performance. The nominal handling charge of $1 will be collected by the Rockford Area Arts Council. Please contact the Arts Council at info@artsforeveryone.com or call (815) 963-6765 for ticket availability.
“Inspired by poetry itself and memorable poetry readings, I hope to collaborate with Rockfordians to facilitate encounters with poetry that surprise, excited, foster local pride, and awaken others to the institutions that connect us.”
