ROCKFORD, IL (July 28, 2023) – ASM Global Rockford and Davis Park at Founders Landing invites the Rockford community to the LAST Friday Night Flix movie night of the season on Friday, August 4, 2023, co-presented by the Rockford IceHogs and Hard Rock Casino Rockford. Bring your friends and family out to the SOUTH LAWN of Davis Park for a fun family night! FREE ADMISSION!

The movie Minions: The Rise of Gru will start around dusk and there will be plenty of fun kids activities starting at 6:30PM, including street hockey on the grass, face painting and balloon twisting by Characters 2 Life, Hammy appearance, interactive photobooths by Expressions 360 and Juju Rey’s Art Playhouse, merch giveaways, Coronado PAC and BMO Center ticket giveaways, and so much more! Food trucks will also have food available for purchase including Ka-Bao!, The Nena’s, Olivo Tacos, TNT Funnel Cakes, Ping’s PANIK, Kona-Ice Rock River, and Embassy’s Tower Kitchen and Bar. Some activities will be free and others may vary or may include separate fees to participate. Guests are encouraged to bring both cash and card for food purchases and activities. Movie-goers are also welcome to bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks.

All are welcome to attend this community event and are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to reserve their spot. Bring your family and friends downtown to enjoy great company, scenic views, delicious food, and activities by the river. Parking fees are determined by the city of Rockford in conjunction with ABM Parking & Transportation Services. There are nearby parking garages, surface lots within walking distance, and limited free street parking on a first-come first-serve basis. Parking will be competitive as City Market runs from 4:00PM – 8:00PM. Although garage pre-pay parking does not guarantee a reserved spot, patrons have a three-hour window before a show to arrive early and claim their spot.
