Maya Simmons
Lifelong experience in the visual arts. Born as an artist and attended Auburn High School, C.A.P A. Program and following The School of Art Institute Chicago at the Chicago Arts Museum and Rockford College.
Although Maya is accredited to instruct Visual Arts, kindergarten through 12th grades. Maya has taught K-12 grades within the Chicago and Rockford areas since 1995. She has mastered Drawing with Ebony, H- B draftsmanship, pastels, and colored pencils. Master of painting in oils, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, aerosol, and airbrush.
Maya is well known for her stunning realistic portraiture, awesome abstracts, fashions, and murals to name a few media she enjoys.
Her portraits of consistent commissions of people of families and communities is astounding.
